“Car, big car. Brrm.” Boy aged 20 months
What our experts think
Children enjoyed pushing the bus around, putting the people in and taking them out. At this age children are starting to play imaginatively, which encourages creativity and helps them make sense of the world around them – sets like the Colin Camper Van is great for getting children to do this.
The wheeled van also gets children moving about while they play, strengthening arm and leg muscles as well as developing coordination. Slotting the characters into their seats supports fine motor control and can help children become familiar with basic colours.
